Students must take Science Adventures 1 as a prerequisite before taking other classes. Classes NO NOT have to be taken in numeric order once the prerequisite has been completed. 

Science Adventures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6

Gathering and analyzing data from experiments is an important skill to be learned by students. In this class students will conduct experiments from various areas:

Science Adventures 1 - (Focus: Conducting an Investigation)

• The great balloon race

• Roller Coaster Dynamics
• Electric Motors
• Electric Circuits

Science Adventures 2 - (Focus: Structures)

• Tall towers and Roman Arches
• Bridge Building 
• Egg Lander

Science Adventures 3 - (Focus: Aerodynamics)

• Flight
• Paper Rockets
• Water Rockets
• Hovercrafts

Science Adventures 4 - (Focus: Transportation)

• Rain Gutter Racers
• Mouse Trap Vehicles
• Rubber Band Powered Vehicles
• Solar Racers

Science Adventures 5 - (Focus: Chemisty)

• Acids, Bases & pH Scale
• Chemical reactions (endothermic vs. exothermic)
• Substances, Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures
• Chromatography

Science Adventures 6 - (Focus: Sounds of Music)

• Physics of sound
• How we perceive sound 
• Musical Instruments
