Unleash your creativity while learning the fundamentals of computer programming! Using Scratch, the award-winning drag-and-drop programming language developed by the MIT Media Lab, students will develop creative thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills as they create interactive animations and games. Throughout this 12-week course, students will learn how to code characters, add movement and sound, create special effects, keep score, and design complete games from beginning to end. By the end of the course, every student will have created and programmed their own original computer game while building a strong foundation in coding and game design.
