PRIVATE PIANO

Private Piano Lessons

We are a great choice for your child's music lessons because of the well rounded foundation we provide to all of our students.  We do not teach for one project or piece of music but rather foundational skills that enable students to continue to build on the foundation long after they have discontinued classes. Our individual and dyad private piano lessons include listening, creating, theory, reading, technique and performance.  We want your students to enjoy learning to read, play and create their own music.  All of our music instructors have university training in music instruction and all are Certificate of Merit teachers.

Musicianship Classes

Our Musicianship classes are offered to all private students 1 time monthly from August through May. Classes are offered on a Monday evening or Saturday afternoon. Students will focus on thoery, repertoire, technique, music appreciation, history of music, fun activities & games, rhythm and much more! Muicianship classes are broken into groups depending on the level of students.

Recitals

Modesto Academy offers two recitals per year to all private and group students. Recitals are highly encouraged and gives students the opportunity to play in front of others and show off what they have been working on. Our Winter Recital is held in December and our Spring Recital is held in May each year. We also have a practice recital a few weeks before the actual recital to help kids understand what to expect. The office emails families to let them know when sign up sheets are out for both practice and actual recitals.

Fees/Tuition

Lessons will be schedule on a year round basis which will include 47 lessons per year. Monthly tuition will be the same rate each month whether students have 3, 4 or 5 lessons during that month. All tuition fees are due at the beginning of each month. Families can pay in person, over the phone, or online.

30 minute lessons - $137/monthly

45 minute lessons - $199/monthly

60 minute lessons - $260/monthly

Recommeded Keyboards

When shopping around for a new Keyboard, there are a couple very important factors that would be good to keep in mind. It is best to choose an adult size keyboard with 88 keys. Ensure the keyboard has touch sensativity meaning a lightly toughed key should make a soft noise and a harder toughed key should make a louder noise. It is always good to chooser a keyboard that has a place to add a foot pedal in the future if needed. Foot pedals are not required. We have listed below a few recommeded keyboards:

Here are the best digital pianos and keyboard pianos 2019/2020:
